The rules for using NockNock to request honest Google reviews from real customers.

Last updated 13 August 2026

What NockNock does

NockNock is based in Houston, Texas. It helps a business ask its customers for Google reviews. A customer can enter their first name and mobile number on the business's kiosk. After the configured delay, NockNock sends one text containing that business's direct Google review link.

A business owner may run NockNock for their own business. A freelancer may manage it for client businesses that have authorized them to do so.

The business is responsible for the request

Only use the kiosk with a business's permission. The business must make the consent notice visible and may only text customers who entered their own number under that notice. Do not upload, buy, scrape or otherwise add people who did not consent.

NockNock does not support review gating. You may not ask only customers believed to be happy, offer a discount or reward for a review, or use the service to manipulate a Google rating. The same request must be available to every consenting customer.

The business name, review link and opt-out wording are required in every message. If someone replies STOP, NockNock records that opt-out across every business using the service and they must not be contacted again through NockNock.

Messaging, privacy and consumer-protection rules vary by location. The account holder and business are responsible for checking and following the rules that apply to them.

Accounts and charges

Keep your password private and tell us if you believe somebody else has accessed your account. A freelancer is responsible for access to every client business they manage.

SMS providers charge by message segment. Message encoding and length can change the number of segments. Any cost shown before sending is an estimate; the final provider and carrier charge may differ. If NockNock offers a paid plan, its price, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase.

To request account deletion, contact NockNock at the address on this page. Deletion is permanent and removes the businesses and customer captures that belong to the account, except records that must be retained for opt-out, legal or accounting purposes.

What you may not do

Do not use NockNock for spam, harassment, incentives, review gating, purchased lists, misleading sender identities, unlawful messages, automated abuse, scraping, resale of customer data, or building a competing dataset or service.

Do not enter a number belonging to somebody else, expose kiosk records to customers, or use a kiosk token after a business has withdrawn permission.

Service and results

NockNock is early software. Messages can be delayed, rejected or filtered, and Google can remove reviews. We report the public review count honestly, including when it falls, but do not promise that a customer will review or that the count will increase.

NockNock is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, delivery of every message, or any particular business result.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount paid to us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending or changing the service

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, threatens deliverability or puts a business, customer, provider account or Google listing at risk. We will explain unless law or security prevents us from doing so.

Material changes to these terms will be dated here and communicated to the account email when reasonably possible. Contact us first if there is a problem.
